Malec-How it all began

This is my version of Magnus and Alec’s first meeting.

I don’t own anything,all characters belong to Cassandra Clare.

 „The world is so cruel,“ thought Alec,as he was getting ready for that Warlock’s party.There was no need to put on anything special in his opinion, and since he hated attention,he took what first came to his mind.Black T-shirt,loose jeans and leather jacket.He didn’t really get why they are helping that red-head,Clary.Sure,her blocked memory is unfortunate,but what does Jace see in her?!Why does he even care?She’s just a mundane!

 He shook his head to get rid of all irritating thoughts and went to take his gear.

 „Alec!Are you ready?“ Isabelle shouted.

 „Coming!“ he answered and left the armoury.When he saw the clothes that his sister and Clary were wearing,he started to feel little bad about his too casual outfit.He relaxed when he saw that Jace was wearing almost the same.

They set out.
As always Alec was closing the procession.Their destination was in Brooklyn. He didn’t like that part of New York. It was smelly and dirty.When they reached the right apartment,Jace knocked on the door.It was surprising that someone registered it,despite the loud music that must have been heard at least two miles from here.

 The one who opened them was a very,very colorful tall man.He was wearing a perfectly fit blue leather pants,light purple shirt,sparkly pink belt around his hips and knee hight black combat boots.His  raven-black hair was arranged into sharp spikes and full of glitter.But what hit Alec the most were the man’s eyes.Cat-like,golden green. He couldn’t stop himself from staring.

 „What the hell are you doing here? I don’t remember inviting any Nephilim.“ he said.

 „Are you Magnus Bane?The High Warlock of Brooklyn?“ Jace made sure.

 „That will be me,but I like to call myself Magnus The Magnificent.And now,why don’t you answer my questions so that I can kick you all out afterwards?“ he told him and looked around the rest of them.When his eyes met Alec‘s gaze,his pupils widened.The boy blushed almost immediately and broke the contact.

 „Or you know what?I’ll let you stay and enjoy my party.But only because of that blue-eyed hottie.“Magnus said and send Alec a dazzling smile.Was it just his imagination,or did he wink  at him?

 „Come on in.“ the Warlock invited them and held the door open.

 „He sure changes his mind quickly.“Jace murmured. Inside was a crowd full of Downworlders,their bodies tangled together,dancing to a music that had no lyrics,just a very fast rhytm.

 „Just don’t go of slaying my guests,okay?“Magnus warned them. „And you could tell me what your bussines here is.Did I do something inappropriate?“he added with a sly smile.

 „If you did,we didn’t hear anything about it.Were not here officially,we just need to ask you something.“Jace told him.

 „Well,why don’t we go somewhere private then.“ was Warlock’s only response before he started to elbow his way through the crowd.

 „I and Clary will take care of this.Why don’t you party a little?“Jace told Alec,Izzy and that mundane boy whose-name-Alec-just-couldn’t-remember,before forcing his way after Magnus.Clary followed him,nervously looking around.She was really of the height of a kid,nobody would be surprised if all those people just squashed her.

 „Alec,do you want something to drink?“Isabelle asked him.She had to shout,otherwise he wouldn’t understand a word.

 „Nah,I’m gonna go catch some fresh air,all this noise is getting on my nerves.You enjoy yourselfs.“he waved and left the room.Finally he got out and took a deep breath.If there was something that he hated more then demons,it was noise and too crowded environment. 
With a sigh he leaned on the wall of the house and kept a patrol.It was not a very nice place,he could say so just by the stench of  boiled cabbage and cat urine.He just hoped that they won’t take long.

 His thoughts started to creep to the Warlock.Why the hell did Alec have to stare at him like that?Magnus must have thought he was weird.But why does it matter?It’s not like Alec liked him or something.

After about ten minutes he went to check on everyone.It was just at the time when Magnus got out of the room he disappeared into before,followed by Clary,who looked even more troubled then before and Jace,that was probably thinking about a way how to calm her down.

 „So?“ Alec rised one brow.

 „No good.I’ll explain on the way back.Where’s the rest?“Jace asked.

 „Somewhere by the bar I think.Or maybe in the middle of those orgies.“Alec waved towards dancing couples. Jace just rolled his eyes and went to look for them,dragging Clary with him.

 Alec wanted to join them,when someone whispered right into his ear „Can I have a moment?“ He shivered and quickly turned around,only to see Magnus’s smirking face only inches away.He blushed furiosly and jumped back.All he could do was nod.Magnus smiled widely and led him to the same room he took Jace and Clary into.It was a spacious bedroom with a gigantic bed covered by unusual canary yellow bed sheets and enormous soft looking pillows,bedsides from both sides and a big pink armchair in one corner.There was another door leading probably to a closet.

 „What do you need?“ Alec curiously asked.He was nervous,since the Warlock was very handsome.And perverted,because he started unziping his pants.

 „What are you doing?!“the Shadowhunter shrieked.

 „Just changing.Leather isn’t very comfortable when you’re walking in it the whole day.What,are you embarassed?“ he laughed and took his pants down.Then Alec could see his underwear,dark blue boxers and a bit of what was underneath them.His face turned bright red and he quickly turned around,facing a big window.

 „Actualy I wanted to ask you out.This was just to make sure that my intuition wasn’t wrong.“Magnus said and put on a new pair of pants,this time bright green. Alec wasn’t sure if he heard right.Did this man really ask him on a date?Wait,that's not the issue here!How the hell did he know that Alec swings the other way?!
He turned around again and just stared at him,not knowing whether he was just joking or iff he meant it,unable to speak.

 „I’ll give you my number.Call me when you’re free,okay?Don’t forget.And one more thing.What’s your name?“Magnus asked with a light smile,passing him a little piece of paper.Does he cary those cards around everywhere,just in case?

 „Don’t you think it’s little bizzare to ask for a name after you invite me out?“Alec asked when he found his voice and accepted it.

 „Not at all.I act out of pure desire.“ the Warlock said,that smile still playing on his lips.It was a big distraction for Alec.

 „It’s Alec.Short of Alexander.“he introduced himself.

 „Nice to meet you Alexander.“said Magnus and reached for his hand.

 „It’s just Alec.“he corrected him and took the opportunity to touch Magnus’s caramel skin.It reminded him of silk and looked even more tan against his own,which was translucent pale.

 „If you don’t mind,I’ll call you Alexander.I don’t like shortening beautiful names.“

Alec blushed on that,he wasn’t used to compliments.Suddenly Magnus’s face darkened.

 „Seems like you will have to go.Your companions have some kind of problem.“

Alec didn’t wait to hear what kind of problem and rushed through the door,prepared to fight,if any of present Downworlders went berserk.Nothing like that seemed to be happening though,so he just found his siblings and others.

 „What’s going on?“he asked.

 „It’s Simon.He drank one of those drinks and turned into a rat.“Clary told him from the floor.Oh,so his name was Simon!By the looks of it,the boy-rat hid under the bar and was refusing to get out.

 „So,what seems to be the problem?“asked Magnus,who appeared right behind Alec and startled him.

 „One of your stupid drinks turned my best friend into this!“Clary said,showing them the little animal that she finally got out.

 „Well that’s unfortunate.I suggest you get him a cosy cage.Or let him go into the sewers,that will be for the best.“Magnus said while checking his yellow nail polish.

 „Y-You mean he’ll stay like this?Forever?“the red-head whispered,terrifyed.

 „Probably.“ the Warlock said,carelessnes dripping of his velvet voice.When he saw her face,his gaze softened.

 „Oh,come on,can’t you take a joke?It will wear of.“he told her with a smile.

 „Can’t you turn him back now?“Clary pleaded.

 „Look,this isn’t how it works,darling.I already helped you and owe you nothing.Besides,the needed spell is exhausting and in this case useless.Even if I wanted to turn him back right now,I’m pretty sure that you can’t afford my services.If you wait few hours,you’ll have him back.“he told her,this time with a sharp sound.Clary didn’t dare to push his patience and just pushed Simon closer to her chest.

 „We should go.C’mon.“Jace said.

Alec was already taking step forward,but again,he was stopped by Magnus.

 „I’m organising another party in three days.If you show up,we could talk.“he told him silently,so that nobody heard.

 „I’ll call you.“Alec told him,blushing again,walking out of the door.

 „See you soon,little Shadowhunter!“he heard from behind his back.His heart skipped a beat and a grin spread on his face.He didn’t know why,but despite the gloomy mood around,with that Simon boy being a rat,Jace calming Clary and sulking Isabelle,he was perfectly happy and looking forward to seeing that weird,beautiful,extravagant,pervy Warlock again.
